(Opto-Electronic Advances, OEA) was founded in 2018. It is an English-language academic journal directed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and hosted by the Institute of Optoelectronic Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is committed to publishing high-quality original results, reviews, and news in the field of optoelectronics. OEA is a peer-reviewed international journal that has been supported by the China Association for Science and Technology's "China Science and Technology Journal International Influence Promotion Program" category D project.

The journal is committed to rapidly reporting progress in scientific research and creating a high-end and professional platform for academic exchanges at home and abroad. OEA focuses on reporting fundamental theoretical innovations in the field of optoelectronics, as well as major breakthroughs in engineering technologies and applications.
